9.25.2010 - We have new photos for 4 and 5 weeks up on our Flickr web page! Sorry for the breif update!!! 9.14.2010 - We have several updates available this week. We are playing catch up from the last entry. On Aug.30 Anna Mae, 12 years and 2 months old passed away at home from the complications and infirmities of old age. August was a difficult month for us having also lost Truman, 12 years 11 months, on Aug. 10. We are lucky in so many ways. Having baby puppies to cuddle and a great pack of dogs to remind us why we do this are only two of the ways we are lucky. The puppies are doing well and growing. In the last two weeks they have opened their eyes, started walking and began eating from a bowl! We are getting ready to take the front off of the whelping box so they can have more room. They are also developing their individual personalities. And they're cute, which really goes without saying! Please see links for weeks 2,3 and 4 at the left for new photographs.
8.29.2010 - The puppies are a week old and everybody is healthy and growing fast! Elsa is also doing well and is an excellent
Mom. Today they had their first toenail trim and squeaked through the whole thing like typical Weimaraners. There are more photos under the Week 1 link.
8.17.2010 - Happy first birthday to Elsa's puppies born in 2009. We came pretty close to having her second litter born on exactly the same day only one year later. Elsa has a few more days to go though. She is pretty disgusted with us right now. We are supporting her as best we can. Click here to view the latest photo! 8.9.2010 - We took an updated belly photo of Elsa yesterday. She is noticably larger than she was in the previous photo we took. She seems a lot bigger than she was with her 2009 litter. My Mom's guess is that she has 8 puppies. I would guess 7 or 8. We do not have much longer to wait! We will be getting the preparations complete in the next week. Poor Elsa seems to be getting a little more miserable. She has been a little tired and less ambitious about making mischief around the house the last week. The puppies are not big enough to feel just yet but you can tell Elsa is definitely in the family way! Click here for photos! 7.20.2010 - COMING SOON Elsa belly watch 2010 :) 7.11.2010 - Elsa seems to have a little ponch in her belly area. We are around three weeks into her pregnancy. She is also cranky and tired which is not like her! We have another week before we find out for sure if she is pregnant, but signs are looking good. 6.2.2010 - Dutch and Elsa will be bred some time in the coming weeks. 10.10.10 - It's ten ten ten! This weekend the puppies turned seven weeks old. They are truly little doggies. We had too raise the pen up to 36". Two of the puppies became proficient at liberating themselves from the 18" pen. Little doggies on the loose is cute until there are poop surprises in the living room (and you accidently step in them!)! We took the opportunity to take some ridiculously cute photos of the groupe in Halloween garb.
